หลักการทำงานของ MakeInstantPlayer ก็คือการรวมไฟล์วีดีโอ
และ MPlayer ซึ่งเป็นเบจของโปรแกรม ให้อยู่ในไฟล์เดียวกันในแบบ EXE
ทำให้เราสามารถเล่นไฟล์วีดีโอดังกล่าวโดยไม่ต้องใช้โปรแกรมใดๆ เป็นตัวช่วยหรือเปิด
แต่ข้อเสียของการแปลงไฟล์ในลักษณะนี้ก็คือไฟล์ EXE ที่ได้จะค่อนข้างใหญ่โตพอดูครับ

MakeInstantPlayer is a tool for converting video files into self-running executables. This is very useful for distributing videos, as the user doesn’t need any additional software for playback. As MakeInstantPlayer uses the MPlayer engine for playback, it supports almost any video format in existance. Furthermore it uses NSIS to pack everthing to one single EXE file.
